By Air:
Melbourne's CBD and the Kingsgate are approximately 23 kilometres
from Melbourne Airport. Travel times and cost will vary, depending
on the day of the week and time of day. However, in general
allow 20-40 minutes and $50-$60 for a taxi.
A cost effective alternative is the 'Skybus' coach transfer.
The Skybus leaves from Southern Cross Station on Spencer Street,
just one block or three minutes walk from the Kingsgate Hotel. Costs
are approximately $17.00 one way and $28.00 return. Tickets may be purchased
from the driver.
By Rail/Coach:
Southern Cross Railway Station is Melbourne's rail hub, with
both interstate and intrastate trains terminating here - as
well as many coach lines. It also serves as a station on the
underground city loop and most metropolitan lines. From Spencer
Street walk up Bourke Street one block and turn right into
King Street - the Kingsgate Hotel is 20 metres from the corner.
